You can use the BabyBjorn carrier from your baby's first week (3.5kg/8.5 lbs). It provides the proper support for the baby's back and neck. When baby is a few months he can face forward. All the adjustments are at the front with a detachable front piece to unsnap the front and lay the baby down - without waking him. Use for as long as is comfortable, about 12 months (10kg/22 lbs).
