Beginning with yourself using the bed pad as a protector should your waters break. After the baby is born, many mothers take the infant into their own bed to suckle through the night, the bed pad will be comfortable if each partner sleeps on a tuck side (cotton flannelette) and the baby on the waterproof section. When the baby is sleeping in their own cot the easy tuck under flaps secure the bed pad in place. (The hidden soaker pad holds the liquid within). Again, when changing to a single bed, the cot bed pad is an ideal mattress protector until the child is dry throughout the night. Excellent to take on holiday or visiting friends and relations, who will welcome your thoughtfulness. Saves buying different waterproof protectors for various sized cots and beds.
