Reusable Nappies

When visiting the Earls Court Baby Show it was noticeable how many reusable nappy stands there were. It is not only during shows that the increase in different types of reusable nappies becomes apparent, it is also when reading parenting magazines, or surfing the net. The two main factors are the reduced impact on the environment made by reusable nappies and the cost savings that can be made, both of high importance in these times. The environment agency published a report on this which has recently been updated. If you are thinking about using reusable nappies have a look at Kushies, a very well established brand which has successfully been selling them for many years.

Save mum time and money

Weening a baby after 6mths of milk can be time consuming. By preparing food at home you ensure your baby gets great tasting, nutritious home cooked food and you save money. To avoid mum spending too much time in the kitchen, we recommend using Freezer Pods. Just boil, blend, freeze and reheat.

Stimulate the development of your children’s senses

From the moment a baby is born, he/she will start developing five senses. Theses senses will play a big role in his/her life and influence skills such as reading, writing and counting. A number of products have been designed with the development of these skills in mind. We particularly like Octotunes and Puppy Tunes which encourage smell, touch, vision and sound through; bright colours, patterns, varied textures, light vanilla scent and music notes.

Signing

Signs and gestures are part of learning to talk for babies, as it’s easier for them to use their little hands than their tongue at first. Babies can produce the first sign at around 6-8 months so if you want to communicate and get an insight in your little one’s world, before they can speak, baby signing is the way the way forward. We recommend, The First Guide to Baby Signing, developed by Amazing Baby in association with Tiny Talk.

Reading

Reading to babies from a young age helps stimulate their development. We all know babies like to interact so why don’t you combine the two by reading from a book with interactive tests. Very popular are Ten Little Fingers Book, Wheels on The Bus and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Dry Air

With the temperatures dropping and the central heating being turned on, air dries out and this can cause your little one discomfort. This Ionic Air Purifier and Humidifier cleans, conditions and freshens the air within the room, all of which has great health benefits.

Birthday gifts around Christmas time

At a 1st birthday party I noticed how popular wooden toys were with both parents and children. In contrast to many of the plastic toys, wooden toys can be kept for years to come, as they are timeless and sturdy. Some great wooden gift ideas during the Christmas season are Noah’s Ark, Nativity Set and our Magnetic Wooden Sort Clock. Happy Shopping!
